All operations associated with the fluid bed process, including high shear granulation (if required), are performed in a single story. Typical process train for a high shear granulated product includes mixer loading, wet granulation, wet milling, charging of the fluid bed, drying, discharging of the fluid bed, and dry milling and/or screening. The single story approach minimizes the amount of GMP space required and simplifies operation and cleaning. |
