There are many different names that are used to describe particle size reduction: milling, grinding, granulating, comminuting, etc. In the case of pharmaceuticals as defined in SUPAC (Scale Up and Post Approval Changes), GRANUMILL^® systems are impact mills of the hammer conventional subclass or screening mills of the rotating impeller subclass.
